Hayes finally grounded Crews long enough to lock in a crossface which forced Crews to tap out, giving himself the 1-0 advantage. Both competitors were savvy in their approach as Crews targeted Hayes’ ribs while Hayes attacked the neck of Crews, leaving both Superstars worse for wear. The veteran Crews took control early, using his combination of power and speed to gain the upper hand, but finding the first fall was difficult for both men. When the two competitors finally got back into the ring, Lee pulled off one last counter, hit his signature backflip kick and retained his title. Lee’s fortitude shined bright when he absorbed every brutal blow and dished out some incredible offense, highlighted by a twisting splash off the top rope.ĭijak may have had Lee dead to rights on the outside, but Tony D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo appeared and bared the brunt of Dijak’s jaw-dropping moonsault instead.
